Energy Solutions is a leader in developing innovative programs to address other environmental concerns, and incorporating them into our energy efficiency programs. We have successfully teamed up with local governments, water utilities and other environmental advocates to address issues like greenhouse gas reduction and water efficiency.

Program Example: LightWash

Energy Solutions worked in conjunction with over twenty water utilities and one major IOU on the innovative LightWash Program to provide cost-effective energy, peak demand and water savings.  The Program provided incentives for the installation of energy- and water-efficient commercial clothes washers along with lighting and boiler incentives to qualifying applicants.

The Program integrated the marketing and processing of water utility and energy efficiency rebates to achieve economies of scale and to simplify participation for customers and trade allies. This innovative approach lowered the barriers of entry to numerous water agencies, allowing the water and electric utilities to jointly achieve significant water and energy savings.
